AMPHIBIRUN, the new and unique beach-based obstacle course event series is already creating big waves in the obstacle course racing world. We’re on the lookout for great, talented, driven and likeminded individuals to join us on our quest to inspire and build the brand and to work closely with us to drive the 2019 series in the UK as well as accelerate and expand its global roll out programme.

Event Operations Manager

The perfect opportunity for an Operations Manager looking to increase their responsibilities and skill base with a new and quickly growing company. We are an obstacle course racing event company and we are looking for an enthusiastic Operations Manager to join our small team and lead on the delivery of our events, locations across the UK but mainly in the south of the country.
The perfect candidate would be capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously, able to have a very broad range of technical skills and be comfortable working on all stages of the production process, from start to finish.

 

Role Specification, Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Conducting site surveys of potential locations and reporting back on feasibility
  • Assisting with all aspects on the design of the event
  • Creating and managing work programmes
  • Developing and managing budgets
  • Sourcing, procuring and supervising contractors
  • Representing the company onsite and pushing for the highest standards of delivery
  • Liaising with relevant stakeholders, predominantly local authorities and emergency services
  • Ensure health and safety is at the core of all operations

 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum 5 years’ experience in production management, specifically in action sports events
  • Excellent organisation skills, a proven track record of delivering to tight timelines
  • Fluent English (speaking/writing)
  • Proficiency in wide range of computer software. MS Office, CAD and Art working packages are a must have. Accounting and Project Management software skills are highly desirable

 

Location: UK
Salary: Competitive and benefits package
Start: ASAP
Status: Freelance / Part Time initially, with expected time of one to two days per week ongoing, with additional time when needed, leading into full time

Social Media Content Creator

You will be responsible for creating relevant, engaging, inspiring and shareable content to accelerate the growth of AMPHIBIRUN’s fanbase. You will substantially grow our social channels and reach by maintaining regular communication with our fans, ensuring that we listen and learn from them and that the content we share resonates, inspires and keeps them engaged. You will raise awareness, create a buzz and get people excited about the experience we provide for our fans by securing quality coverage across both on and offline media that accurately reflects our brand values and drives people to our website and social channels.

 

Role Specification, Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Planning and setting the positioning and content strategy
  • Writing copy for social media posts, writing social headlines and optimising posts
  • Reporting on weekly platform growth, content output, social engagement
  • Using these insights to decide on editorial content for future editorial initiatives
  • Delivering email newsletters and developing strategies to grow email subscriber base
  • Working alongside Marketing to activate topical campaigns, and competitions and events via socials
  • Using knowledge of trending topics to source stories and identify trends
  • Prior experience creating graphics
  • Comfort working in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience of working within a media environment
  • Great knowledge of social media
  • Excellent writing skills and a good creative eye
  • Comfortable with social media reporting and measurement tools
